Your pregnancy diet will be customized for you as will an exercise plan to keep you active and fit while you are pregnant. But the support you will receive is more than a healthy diet for pregnancy. It is more than an exercise plan for pregnancy. It is really about your lifestyle and how to eat and stay active after your delivery and beyond.
We look forward to sharing with you the most current information to help you progress through all stages of pregnancy - prenatal, post partum and then getting back to shape. We will work to help you improve your health and well being, empowering you to enhance your ability to metabolize food, strengthen your immune system, and, at the same time, increase your energy level. In addition, it can really help you to lose weight or maintain the weight you desire without deprivation or hunger. Diet will be a lifestyle - your lifestyle. Exercise, activity and fitness will be your lifestyle too.
Medical issues that are controllable through diet and exercise will be addressed. We will work with you to ensure your doctor's requests are met. A few examples of these medical issues include: gestational diabetes, hypertension (high blood pressure), and constipation. By adopting Dr. Mick's approach to food consumption, you will control your weight throughout pregnancy. After delivery, the diet and activity habits we'll work on during pregnancy will help get you back to shape after pregnancy.
